Volume 39 of the Scottish Archaeological Journal is on schedule to be published in March 2017. It will contain several book and museum reviews along with information on the 2017 Dalrymple Lectures on the archaeology of Roman Sicilly.

There will also be three short notes on subjects as diverse as Neolithic pottery from St Kilda, the recovery of a Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age All-Over Corded Beaker from Quixwood Moor and a preliminary report on the recent excavations at Castlebank Street Partick. The two main articles cover the following subjects: excavations of an Iron Age settlement at Auchrannie, Brodick and prehistoric and ritual activities at Barassie.
