Our first lecture of 2018 for the GAS Lecture Promgramme 2017-18 welcomes Andrew Nicholson, who will be giving his lecture on Excavating the Galloway Viking Hoard on Thursday, 18th January, 2018 at 7:30pm in the Boyd Orr Building, University Avenue, Glasgow University.

GAS Lecture Programme 2017-2018

Lectures are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7.30pm from October to April in the Boyd Orr Building, University Avenue, Glasgow University, with the exception of the Dalrymple Lectures. The Dalrymple Lectures will be held in the Sir Charles Wilson building at 6.30pm on November 13th to 15th, 2017, and on the 16th at 7.30pm.

Admission to all of our lectures is completely free, and are open to members and non-members alike. We do, however, appreciate your support! The Society has a supply of quality enamelled badges bearing the Society’s crest; these are available at the ridiculously cheap price of £3.50, and are on sale at lectures (subject to availablity) at the sales table. Glasgow Archaeological Society car stickers and bookmarks are also freely available to members.
